During the actual stitching process, I always recommend performing only global adjustments rather than local adjustments. The difference between the two is very simple to understand. A global adjustment affects the entire photograph (for example, using the Photoshop Curve feature without any masking). A local adjustment affects a specific part of the photograph using masking, brushes, or any filter. For example, in a panorama of a landscape, a local adjustment might be using a graduated filter to add clarity to the sky and clouds.
