Lightroom and Photoshop are both incredible editing applications for photographers. In some ways, Photoshop is way more than what the average photographer needs. However, it does have the advantage of featuring built-in stitching and content awareness. Lightroom offers the essentials for what the average photographer needs to edit a photograph, but it cannot stitch a panoramic photograph on its own. When it comes to going beyond the simplicity of Lightroom or steering away from the complexity of Photoshop, I find myself leaning toward a few other software options.
