A vertorama is a panoramic photograph captured vertically instead of horizontally. While a panoramic photograph is commonly photographed from left to right or right to left, a vertorama is captured from up to down or down to up. This technique is more difficult because it does not mirror the natural way that our eyes see. One way to capture vertorama photographs is to turn your tripod head sideways and mount the camera using an L bracket. That way, your camera is horizontal and level, but you are panning up and down instead of side to side.
