In axial turns, one wheel of the robot moves backward and the other wheel of the robot moves forwards. The robot can turn on the spot without moving from its original position. Axial turns are generally carried out if there are space constraints while turning, such as if a robot is moving through a maze. A robot can either carry out an axial left turn or an axial right turn.
