In a radial turn, one motor of the robot stops and the other motor moves forwards. The wheel that is stopped acts as the center of the circle and the moving wheel acts as the circumference. The distance between the motors represents a radius, which is why this turn is called a radial turn. A robot can either carry out a radial left turn or a radial right turn.
