Acknowledgments

The Missing Manual series is a joint venture between Pogue Press (the dream team introduced on these pages) and O’Reilly Media (a dream publishing partner).

This book was a special project, a “best of” compilation from the four individual Missing Manual titles (on iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie & iDVD, and GarageBand). The contributors to this book, therefore, were those who contributed to the individual volumes.

From Apple, I had insanely valuable assistance from Fred Johnson, Paul Towner, Xander Soren, and Gary Drenan.

Caroline Savello was the InDesign guru who masterfully melded four books into one. I’m also grateful to Kate Briggs, John Cacciatore, Stephanie English, Danny Marcus and Sada Preisch for their copy editing and proofreading smarts; Adam Goldstein, Boy Genius, for production assistance; Tim Franklin for his writeup on QuickTime Web pages; Glenn Reid for tech-editing two iMovie editions (not to mention writing the software!); and to David Rogelberg.

Finally, thanks to Kelly and Tia, my favorite iMovie stars, and my wife, Jennifer, who made this book—and everything else—possible.
