It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Available business events and extensibility
In Finance and Operations, business events are implemented in some business processes out of the box. These business events include some common business processes in different modules of the application. Generic workflow business events are generated at various points when processing a Finance and Operations workflow. Power Automate or Logic Apps can be used with workflow business events to build rich notification and approval scenarios. Similar to the workflow business events, alert business events can also be used cross-module with enhanced notification and system integration scenarios.
