Configuration and data manager

The configuration and data manager lets you copy a configuration from one instance of Microsoft D365FO to another.

You can copy from and to Microsoft D365FO environments that meet the following criteria:

• They are managed as part of an LCS project.
• They run on the data management framework in Microsoft D365FO and can leverage data packages (containing entities).
• You can also create groups of data packages called Process Data Packages (PDP) and use them for all kinds of deployments to any environment in the LCS project being worked on. Please refer to Chapter 6, Configuration and Data Management, for more details.
