If we're using intruder to enumerate single fields, most commonly, usernames or account IDs, the process is pretty straightforward. I'll try and hit Mutillidae's login page (shown in thefollowing screenshot) and see if we can figure out what sorts of usernames we can unearth. I'll slap in some gibberish, just to trigger a request/response pair in Burp Proxy (the intercept is on), and unless I am really lucky, get an Account does not exist message.

In the Proxy tab and the HTTP History subtab, I can see my Request, complete with the gibberish ...
