So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Digest-based authentication
Digest-based authentication takes the basics of the Basic Authentication, but applies MD5 hashing and a nonce to hopefully provide greater security than Basic alone. A nonce is like a machine version of a OTP--a number that is applied and valid only once to make the hashes immune to replay attacks.
