When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
8.7. HOLD THAT BATH WATER!
With a nod to the very realistic concerns of the AI and OD communities and the need to set appropriate expectations, let's be careful not to throw out the proverbial baby with the bath water. Questions play an important role in our courses, in assessments, and in aiding knowledge transfer, whether they are asked in a live, virtual, or face-to-face classroom setting, or in text form in a self-paced WBT. Most of us ask questions daily without much thought to the ripple we might be creating in our shared reality. If there is an opportunity to do a little bit of good by purposefully using AI-style questioning inside or outside of the context of a full AI initiative, then why not take that opportunity?
