I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
5.2. WHY DO ORGANIZATIONS FEEL THEY CAN DEVELOP E-LEARNING WITHOUT INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNERS?
In fact, these easy-to-learn and easy-to-use authoring tools are just one of a host of reasons why people other than instructional designers are increasingly creating learning content. This section explores it, as well as other reasons people other than instructional designers feel they can develop e-learning. These reasons fall into two broad categories: (1) changes in technology that promote the use of the instructional-designer-by-assignment and (2) inertia within the field of instructional design that drives organizations to take advantage of those trends in technology.
