It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
It is important that you understand the theory behind SDH and TDM before jumping into provisioning mode. This chapter discussed the provisioning of the SDH MSPP, SNCP, MS-SPRing, and TDM. Prior to the provisioning of TDM or Ethernet circuits, one must configure the basic node provisioning for the SDH infrastructure. This chapter uses ONS 15454 SDH as an example because it exemplifies most of the SDH provisioning aspects. The ONS 15454 SDH is also the most deployed MSPP device in the metro edge and core. This chapter covered initial node provisioning tasks and the provisioning of SDH circuits.
