I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Introduction
The massive growth of the Internet has fueled technologies that can scale rapidly upwardly in terms of bandwidth. Optical networking and DWDM provide fiber relief without the high infrastructure costs associated with deploying new fiber plants. From a base technology perspective, many carriers and service providers have a huge SONET and SDH installed base that is currently used to deliver TDM voice. There is a strong tendency to run parallel data networks. The existing SONET/SDH fiber infrastructure of many carriers can be leveraged to offer new services, such as managed Ethernet services, SAN transport services, MPLS, DWDM wavelengths, and more.
