I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Oft wandeln sich Erfahrungen, die man selbst gemacht hat, zur Quelle eines neuen Anfangs. So war es auch bei OTRS. Mit einer Software hatte das erst mal nicht so viel zu tun. Als ich – Martin Edenhofer – anno 1999 meinen ISDN-Internetanschluss auf DSL umstellen wollte, kontaktierte ich dafür meinen Telefondienstleister. Das war nicht anders als heute: Wer zwei Mal innerhalb von 30 Minuten die Hotline anrief, landete in unterschiedlichen Callcentern oder zumindest bei unterschiedlichen Gesprächspartnern. Nach der Durchgabe der Anschlussnummer erwartete ich trotzdem, dass mein Name und mein Fall bekannt wären.
Dem war jedoch nicht so. Auch nicht nur im Ansatz. Noch schlimmer war es per E-Mail. Es gab lange Wartezeiten ...
