It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
SUMMARY
Servicing your embedded devices on the field may be a challenging task because standard Windows Embedded Compact 7 tools are not available on the average host; they are not even available for smart phones or non-Microsoft platforms. HTTP and HTML are effective mechanisms to retrieve and display data from a Compact 7 device on any host computer. This chapter demonstrated how to use an HTTP server dedicated to specific needs with a minimal impact on your device footprint and configuration.
