It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
TARGET DEVICE CONNECTIVITY
Depending on the target device’s hardware architecture and connectivity built in to the design, the development station can be connected to the target device through one of the following types of connection:
- Ethernet
- Serial
- USB
To download an OS run-time image to the target device, you need a bootloader for the target device, with appropriate codes to establish connectivity and initiate the OS run-time image download, that supports one of the connectivity options above.
