So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
My Domain
First things first: if you want to start developing Lightning components, you are required to activate My Domain on your org. You probably saw in several screenshots in this book that the URL is https://devbook-dev-ed.lightning.force.com. The domain of this organization is devbook-dev-ed (the dev-ed suffix is only for developer editions), and we activated this domain for our users.
You can activate your organization domain in the My Domain section of the setup console:
