So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Exercise 1 – opening the Developer Console and looking around for possibilities
I assume you already have a developer org from the beginning of this book. If not, make sure you create one right now. You can find out how to create a developer org at the beginning of this book.
In this exercise, we will create and deploy a class in the Developer Console, step by step:
- Open your Developer Console by clicking on the Setup gear at the right corner of the org, and then click Developer Console.
- This opens a new window. If it doesn't, then a pop-up blocker is probably stopping you from opening this window. Allow your browsers to open this pop-up window; otherwise, you know, no programming in Salesforce for you today.
