It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Downloading Scripts from the Internet
The objective of this book is to teach you how to build your own Web applications using CGI. However, it isn’t here to convince you to do unnecessary work. There are bunches of CGI scripts other people have written that you can download from the Internet and use on your own site.
These scripts are useful for two purposes. First, they can save you a lot of work. If you can find a script out there that provides the functionality you need for an application, you may want to use it instead of writing a program from scratch.
