Summary
In Hour 16, I used an online store to demonstrate how session management works in Web applications. I’ve reworked those scripts in this hour to demonstrate how to use a relational database to store data associated with a Web application. I took each of the scripts from Hour 16 and replaced the calls to flat files with relational database queries. In the course of this hour, you saw how insert, update, delete, and select statements are used within the context of a Web application.
