So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
As you can see, there’s more to CGI programming than just printing out HTML tags and text. You can use CGI scripts to generate any type of content that can be delivered via HTTP. Regardless of which type of content your script returns, you have to generate the proper Content-type header for the request. Other than that, there’s not much to remember. As you’ve seen in this chapter, you can do more than just print out the content as well. Processing query parameters, setting cookies, and performing other business logic are all perfectly acceptable.
