It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
Remember that when you write CGI programs for use on the Web, they can potentially be accessed by millions of people. At least a few thousand of those people probably don’t have the best intentions, so you should always have security in mind. By keeping the guidelines presented in this lesson in mind, and by testing your CGI scripts rigorously, you can avoid intrusion by most crackers.
