The Editors
Fan Ren is distinguished professor of chemical engineering at the University of Florida, Gainesville.
He received his Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, New York.
His current research interests include semiconductor-based sensors, Sb-based HBTs, and nitride-
based HEMTs. He is a fellow of the APS (American Physical Society), AVS (American Vacuum
Society), ECS (Electro-Chemical Society), and IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers).
