Azure Blob Storage

The pricing of Azure Blob Storage depends on the storage tier (hot or cool, where cool is intended for archival data only) and the redundancy option. The redundancy options were discussed in Chapter 12, Designing for High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and Scale. For a production application, it is recommended to use the hot Geo-Redundant Storage (GRS) tier, which provides inherent support for both HA and DR requirements.

For the hot GRS tier, the price of the data storage is as follows:

Over 500 TB/Month

$0.0339/GB
