Configuring SSL

As you have noticed, the default Azure Function App subdomain, YourFunctionApp.azurewebsites.net, is secured with an SSL certificate. After you assign a custom domain to your Function App, you will need to configure an SSL certificate to secure that domain as well.

The easiest way to obtain the certificate is to purchase it directly from Azure. To learn more on how to purchase the certificate from Azure, please visit https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/app-service-web/web-sites-purchase-ssl-web-site.

You can also obtain the certificate from a different trusted Certificate Authority (CA). Each CA will have their own process for purchasing SSL certificates.
