Network bandwidth

The ingress (incoming) network traffic into Azure is always free however, a small charge applies to the egress (outgoing) network traffic. In the application developed in this book, all of the data transfers are inbound, and fall under the free ingress traffic.

For some applications, however, especially those that involve downloading large files from the cloud (such as large video files download), the aggregated egress charges may become significant. To review the structure and pricing of the egress bandwidth, visit https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/bandwidth/.

For our text sentiment analysis application, thus, the network bandwidth will be free of charge.
