This chapter allowed us to explore the more advanced options to configure function triggers and input/output parameters as well as to configure custom routes for HTTP-triggered functions. We saw two detailed examples of common function triggers, and described the different approaches to access SQL table records.

In the course of this chapter, you learned more about function triggers, and input and output bindings, and saw how to configure custom routing to a function's HTTP endpoints. To put our learning into practice, we created a new text processing function triggered by file upload to storage, and an averaging function that is run on a specific schedule.
