Smart Detection

Application Insights also enables "Smart Detection" alerts. Smart Detection automatically warns you about potential performance issues in your application. It uses machine learning to analyze the telemetry sent by your application and identifies abnormal patterns, such as increased failure rate or rising server response time.

The smart detection is turned on automatically and requires no configuration, however, you can choose the alert action for each type of problem in Smart Detection settings, as shown in the following screenshot:
