Dev Console

Dev Console is a CMD console available with any Azure App Service environment, including the Azure Functions.

Dev Console gives you limited access to D:\home\site\wwwroot of the VM on which your App Service environment is hosted. Dev Console does not give you administrative access to the virtual machine, allow you to install software, or even browse to any other disks on the VM. It will allow you to browse, create, delete, or modify files under the D:\home directory. To demonstrate this, we can explore the folder structure and create a new file, as shown in the following screenshot:
