Adding Texture to Solid Backgrounds

Here, on the left, is a window light shot taken with a solid-color wall as the background, and we’re going to add some texture to it, simply to make it more interesting. You can either buy a royalty-free stock background (which is what I did here, from Adobe Stock), or you can find a free textured background online (just make sure you get a Creative Commons image that’s free for commercial use), or you can simply keep your camera with you, so the next time you’re downtown, you can shoot a few old textured walls. ...
