I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

BEHIND THE SCENES: Here, our subject is posing in an old storage unit where the roof is mostly off, but there was enough light that it looked like it might make some great light for a portrait. Especially when we saw the color on the walls—it was just too perfect a match with the yellow shirt our subject was wearing—and I loved the pattern on them. But, when we took our first test shots, the sun was right overhead and it was clipping everything—the top of her head, her arms, everything was pretty much blowing out—and if I used exposure compensation, it just made the scene darker, and the highlights were ...
