It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What to Have Your Subjects Wear
When you’re working out the details of your natural light shoot, if it’s going to be an outdoor shoot, one trick to help your subjects look great in natural surroundings is to have them wear lighter-colored clothing. Light colors have a fresh look that looks great outdoors. Go with light solid colors, no prints or patterns, and stay away from bright colors on these outdoor shoots. Keep the outfits simple and clean—white, tan, pastel tops and jeans look great. Stay away from dark colors or bright colors and you’ll get more natural looking portraits.
