I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Thunderbird
Thunderbird is a little easier to configure than Evolution and tends to work better, particularly with entries that have multiple CNs. To enable it, go to the Edit menu, click Preferences, and then select Composition from the tabs along the top.
From the Addressing subtab, check the Directory Server box and click the Edit Directories button to its right. From the dialog box that appears, click Add to add a new directory. You can give it any name you want because this is merely for display purposes. As shown in Figure 29.2, set the Hostname field to be the IP address of your LDAP server (or 127.0.0.1 if you are working on the server).
