When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Rust
Rust is developed by Mozilla, the people behind the Firefox browser. It is advertised on www.rust-lang.org as
“...a curly-brace, block-structured expression language. It visually resembles the C language family, but differs significantly in syntactic and semantic details. Its design is oriented toward concerns of ‘programming in the large’, that is, of creating and maintaining boundaries—both abstract and operational—that preserve large-system integrity, availability and concurrency.”
Rust is not yet available in the Ubuntu repositories, but as it is being developed and used by people at Mozilla, it is likely to be of interest to a few of this book’s readers and deserves a quick mention here.
