Introduction to Ubuntu Development

Ubuntu development follows a six-month cycle. The process begins before and at a Ubuntu Developers’ Summit (UDS) with planning and discussion. Here, the goal is to unify the efforts of all those who will be involved to make the best use of limited resources. Everyone gets together, in person or via remote online participation, and in live discussions they make decisions about the priorities for the upcoming release. The UDS lasts one week.
