This activity focuses on key job skills with the opportunity to assess
strengths and weaknesses. The activity starts with the trainer giving an
explanation of the theory Four Steps to Learning. The group agrees on the
key skills required to complete the appraisee’s job. Individually, the
appraiser and appraisee then plot the standard of performance of the
appraisee on a blank copy of a chart depicting Four Steps to Learning. They
discuss similarities and differences and a joint chart can then be produced.
