Paragraph & Character Styles
Go to page 10 of your course file 02 Text Frames and Type Styles.indd and fit that page to the window. We’ll look at page 11 later. You and I are going to create three paragraph styles.
The first, to be called “body copy,” will give us the baseline appearance of ordinary paragraphs. The second will be for headers that will herald a topic to be discussed. Its name will be “topic header.” The third, “inline header,” will be identical to body copy except it will make the first sentence of a paragraph bold automatically. For this paragraph style to perform this magic, it needs a character style it can summon that makes text bold.
