Text wrap is a kind of force field you apply to a frame to push text away from the frame’s content. This creates a more dynamic layout without text and (usually) graphics colliding. The frame to which text wrap is applied could be another text frame like one containing a pull quote. Let’s create two kinds of text wrap.
On page 7 is a biography of Sir John Herschel that is partially obscured by the placed PDF (his portrait and the caption). We will use the most common form of text wrap to push the text out from under that portrait and control how far away from its edges the text will be.
