3 Project: A Novel Layout
As readers turn the pages of a gripping novel, they do not wish to have their attention diverted from the story by inconsistent text formatting or layout shifts. In this project, we’ll build the interior pages for Agatha Christie’s first novel, originally published in 1920.
We’ll use a style guide that could be applied to other books, rediscovering cool style features that we used in the previous chapter.
We will also use new features that are vital when making longer documents: Parent Pages, Smart Text Reflow, and Sections. We’ll learn how to smooth the often rough path from Microsoft Word to InDesign and see ...
