Getting Good with JavaScript

There is a lot I have not covered in this chapter on JavaScript. Every few years there are entirely new books that come out on the subject matter, and in order to get really good with JavaScript, you need to practice, and keep up with current trends.

I thought I would list a few good books that get much further into the details of JavaScript and its implementations on different browser platforms.

  • Earle Castledine, and Craig Sharkie. jQuery: Novice to Ninja. Collingwood: SitePoint Pty, Limited, 2010.
  • Douglas Crockford. JavaScript: The Good Parts. Cambridge: O'Reilly, 2008.
  • Marijn Haverbeke. Eloquent JavaScript: A Modern Introduction to Programming. San Francisco: No Starch Press, 2011. http://eloquentjavascript.net ...
