As you can see, the label tells what should be supplied in the input area. It
provides context for what the person supplies. This is the function of business
metadata.
1.5 Structured and Unstructured Metadata
One of the most basic ways to divide the world of metadata is by technical
metadata versus business metadata. But it is also possible to divide along the
lines of unstructured versus unstructured metadata. The form shown in Figure 1.4
is a classical example of structured metadata. The metadata that occurs in that
