Logical channels
1. Broadcast Control Channel (BCCH), DL. The broadcast control channel is a downlink (DL)
channel that broadcasts information relevant to that cell to the UEs in the service area.
Information includes the radio channels of neighbouring cells with their configurations, as well
as the available RACHs and scrambling codes.
2. Paging Control Channel (PCCH), DL. This downlink channel is associated with the PICH, and is
used for the transmission of paging messages as well as notification information.
3. Dedicated Control Channel (DCCH), UL/DL. This channel is used to carry dedicated control
information in both directions.
4. Common Control Channel (CCCH), UL/DL. This bi-directional channel is used to transfer
control information.
