I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Another part of many phones these days is what is called the SIM card on GSM phones. It is called
the USIM (Universal Subscriber Identity Module) for UMTS and the RUIM (Removable User
Identity M odule) on CDMA phones.
The battery is a major element of the phone. Its power capacity governs the time for which the
phone can operate between charges. In recent years, battery technology has improved considerably.
Initially nickel cadmium power sources were used, which can be detrimental to the environment
if disposed of incorrectly. The next source was the nickel metal hydrogen battery, which provided
virtually the same cell voltage as the NiCad battery but with a slight improvement in performance.
