It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Accordingly, it is possible for the operator to choose which configurations are to be used in both
the forward and reverse links. The different configurations are naturally called radio con figurations,
and they are defined in Tables 9.1 and 9.2.
CDMA2000 1X
A number of updates and changes were introduced to improve the performance of CDMA2000 1X
IS-2000 over cdmaOne IS-95. However, in all cases backward compatibility has been maintained,
allowing both IS-95 and IS-2000 mobiles to access the same base stations.
