Taking part in both coach and NLP training is fun and enlightening for newcomer coaches, to the point that further training becomes slightly addictive. You want to recapture the buzz of uncovering new knowledge with like-minded people and practise your skills.
As you choose more workshops and courses, be adventurous and see how something totally different can extend your ability to stay present in the moment. Consider a course in acting, art, aviation or aikido, for example. Seek out courses that engage the body, not just your mental faculties, so that you engage the different senses. Try a pottery course, drumming or a dance workshop as well as the more logical academic programmes.
Even if you don't have time to participate in a full-length course right now, you can still attend interesting and random events from the arts, music, language, literature, law, leadership, history, engineering, education, science, sport, dance, martial arts, philosophy, psychology – the list is endless. With each new experience, ask yourself how your coaching can benefit from this unfamiliar world compared to the one in which you typically choose to inhabit.
