So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Volunteer with a Professional Body
All professions depend for their existence on the enthusiasm of their members. The various coaching bodies will welcome you with open arms when you're ready to volunteer your skills. Consider what particular talents and experience you bring and how much time you can commit to regularly.
Can you volunteer to help with events, man conference stands or give talks? Do you have the time to run for office, train as an assessor or set up a local group? Choose something that you want to do rather than from duty or you resent the time. You can find out more on the websites of the professional bodies mentioned earlier in this chapter.
As you become more involved in a professional coaching organisation, you'll be surrounded by opportunities to further your own skills as you share your own with others.
