So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Point light
Point lights are like light bulbs without lampshades. In fact, they are the ideal type of light to use to simulate a small, local source of light such as a table lamp, wall sconce, or chandelier. As you can see in the following screenshot of the Inspector panel, you can modify the Range, Color, and Intensity. You can also select from Realtime, Baked, or Mixed render modes:
