I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Polygons into lines
Now we'll learn how to change polygons into lines using Geometry Tools:
- Open the polygons.shp file:
- Now click on Vector, followed by Geometry Tools, and then by Polygons to lines:
- We get a window named Polygons to lines. Select polygons for Input layer and then click on Run in Background. After the processing is done, click Close:
- We'll get line type vector data converted from the original polygon data:
