So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Lines into polygons
Now we'll learn how to do the opposite of what we just did, converting lines into polygons. For this example, we'll be using the lines.shp data. The steps are as follows:
- Load lines.shp, which is a vector data of the line type:
- Click on Vector, followed by Geometry Tools, and then by Lines to polygons:
- Select lines for Input layer and then click Run in Background:
- We get our lines vector data converted into a new polygon ...
